Turners (Soham) Ltd is recruiting LGV Container Drivers for Felixstowe and surrounding depots near Newmarket. Flexible shifts include day, night, weekend and tramping options, with a focus on safety and customer service.

Successful candidates will have HGV Class 1, CPC and Tacho, and be comfortable with varying start times. The company offers a modern fleet, weekly pay, uniform, pension, and paid CPC training during employment.

Qualifications

• Full HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence, 1 year preferred.
• Driver CPC & Tacho Card.
• 35 hours CPC.
• Container experience preferred.
• Good written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Drive LGV container vehicles on assigned shifts (day, night, weekend).
• Comply with Tachograph and Working Time Directive requirements.
• Deliver professional customer service and maintain vehicle cleanliness.
• Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle checks and report faults.

Shifts available - Monday-FridayAs a professional driver working for Turners Container Division, you will be required to demonstrate skill, professionalism and excellent customer service.Working for our container division you will develop close working relationships with your planning and training team, alongside other drivers and staff members in a close knit organisation that strives to create a welcoming and comfortable environment for all.The haulage industry is one of varying hours and timings, and will require potential candidates to be flexible in their approach to start and finish times. We have day, tramping, weekend & night shifts available (Shift patterns vary from depot to depot). Shift lengths do vary but you will be expected to comply with the Tachograph & Working Time Directive regulations at all times. Occasional nights out maybe required for day drivers due to unforeseen circumstances.As a large and ever expanding company, Turners can take on new drivers with limited experience. All we ask is you are willing and keen to learn, growing our driving crew with knowledgeable and competent members.
