Müller is hiring for Class 1 Shunter Drivers at Severnside Depot in Gloucestershire. The role is full-time and yard-based with a 4-on 4-off pattern from 18:00 to 06:00. Overtime is paid at £19.46 per hour, with base rates from £17.30 to £28.42 per hour plus a £20 weekly supplement.

Requirements include a Class 1 licence, CPC and digital driving card, and clean driving record. Benefits include 23 days leave, life assurance, pension matching, and staff discounts.

We are recruiting for Class 1 Shunter Drivers at our Severnside Depot within the Muller Milk and Ingredients Distribution Business.

Contract:Full Time / Permanent

Location:Severnside Dairy, Stonehouse, Gloucestershire, GL10 2DG

Shift Pattern: 4on 4off 18:00-06:00 -Role will be yard based

Hourly Rate:From £17.30 per hour - £28.42 per hour dependent on shift pattern(Plus £20 weekly supplement)

Overtime rate:£19.46 per hour

• HGV Class 1 Licence (mandatory)
• Current CPC and digital driving card (mandatory)
• No more than 6 minor points on driving licence (No CDs, DDs, DRs or INs)
• An effective team member who works well on their own initiative
• Demonstrates an excellent attitude to work
• Self – motivated with a positive attitude and extremely reliable
• Must be comfortable with the physical nature of the role

Class 1 Shunter Driver Role & Responsibilities

• Coordinate the onsite bay movements ensuring that all equipment is fully compliant
• Puts safety first and respects all other road users.
• Diligent in ensuring driver and vehicle checks are completed correctly.
• Conduct regular checks on all vehicles and trailers to ensure they meet the necessary safety and compliance standards. If a vehicle or trailer is not compliant defect to the workshop for repairs or maintenance.
• Prioritise, assess, and control safety, health, and workplace risks. Identify potential hazards and take preventive measures.
