Job summary

Biffa Waste Services is seeking an LGV2 Driver for Monday to Friday AM shifts starting at 4am. You will operate front and back loader LGV vehicles to collect trade waste from customers, often working solo outdoors.

The role emphasizes safety, initiative, and reliable vehicle checks. In this position you will join a company with strong community impact and a long history in UK waste management, offering on-the-job training, diverse discounts, and family-friendly policies.

Qualifications

• Valid LGV/HGV Class 2 (Cat C) licence.
• Valid Driver CPC / Driver Qualification Card.
• Good understanding of road safety and vehicle safety procedures.
• Ability to complete daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Good knowledge of drivers' hours and tachograph requirements.
• Ability to safely manoeuvre and operate a large rigid vehicle.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Good awareness of health & safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Drive LGV vehicles to collect and empty bins from trade waste customers.
• Work as part of a single person crew outdoors.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects as required.

LGV 2 Driver - AM Shifts

Monday to Friday (Overtime available)

£16.87p/h

Start Time: 4am

Working as part of a single person crew, you will drive various modes of LGV vehicles including front and back loaders, collecting and emptying bins, from our trade waste customers.
