Job summary

Biffa is hiring an LGV2 Driver for AM shifts to support trade waste collection. You will operate front and back loaders, service trade waste customers, and work Monday to Friday with a start time around 05:00. Overtime is available and some Saturdays may occur.

This outdoors role emphasizes initiative, safety, and reliable customer service as you help maintain clean local environments and communities. Training and PPE provided, with pension and discounts available.

Qualifications

• Valid LGV/HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.
• Valid Driver CPC/Driver Qualification Card.
• Good understanding of road safety and vehicle safety.
• Ability to complete daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Good knowledge of drivers' hours and tachograph requirements.
• Ability to safely manoeuvre and operate a large rigid vehicle.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Good awareness of health & safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Drive LGV vehicles including front and back loaders.
• Collect and empty bins from trade waste customers.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Work as part of a single person crew on shifts.
• Adhere to driver hours and tachograph rules.
