Job summary

Biffa Group in Burgess Hill is seeking an LGV Driver on the AM shift to join our depot team. You will drive LGV vehicles, collecting and emptying bins from trade waste customers, starting at 04:00 and working Monday to Friday (45 hours per week).

This role offers an hourly pay of £16.87 per hour with occasional overtime on Saturdays. You will work outdoors, use your initiative, and contribute to the local environment by keeping streets clean and communities protected.

Qualifications

• Full, valid LGV Class 2 (Category C) driving licence
• Valid Driver CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
• A good understanding of road safety and drivers' hours regulations
• A strong commitment to health and safety
• Good communication and customer service skills
• The ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Previous LGV driving experience is desirable

Responsibilities

• Drive LGV vehicles to collect and empty bins for trade waste customers.
• Work as part of a single person crew with initiative and safety awareness.
• Follow routes and schedules while maintaining vehicle hygiene and safety standards.
