Job summary

Biffa Group is seeking an LGV Driver for the Ford Depot on an AM shift. The role runs Monday to Friday, 45 hours per week, with an hourly rate of £16.87 and occasional Saturday overtime. You will drive various LGV vehicles to collect and empty bins for trade waste customers from outdoor sites.

This position suits someone who works well independently, enjoys outdoor work, and wants to contribute to local environmental improvements. Training, benefits, and PPE are provided.

Qualifications

• Valid LGV/HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
• ValidDriver CPC / DQC (Driver Qualification Card).
• Good understanding of road safety and vehicle safety.
• Ability to complete daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Good knowledge of drivers' hours and tachograph requirements.

Responsibilities

• Drive LGV vehicles including front/back loaders for trade waste collections.
• Safely manoeuvre and operate a large rigid vehicle on urban and rural routes.
• Report defects and issues and complete daily checks as required.

Hourly Rate: £16.87 (Occasional Saturday overtime)

Working as part of a single person crew, you will drive various modes of LGV vehicles including front and back loaders, collecting and emptying bins, from our trade waste customers.
