Job summary

Biffa Group is seeking an LGV Driver for the AM shift at the Burgess Hill depot. You will drive LGV vehicles to collect and empty bins from trade waste customers, working Monday to Friday with a 04:00 start and an hourly rate of £16.87.

This role involves outdoor work and using your initiative to help improve local environments. You will be part of a single-person crew, with opportunities for Saturday overtime on occasions.

Qualifications

• Valid LGV/HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC / Driver Qualification Card.
• Good understanding of road safety and vehicle safety.
• Ability to complete daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Good knowledge of drivers' hours and tachograph requirements.
• Ability to safely manoeuvre and operate a large rigid vehicle.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Good awareness of health & safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Drive LGV vehicles including front and back loaders to collect and empty bins from trade waste customers.
• Work as part of a single person crew on outdoor routes and use own initiative to support the local environment and communities.

LGV Driver - AM Shift

Location: Burgess Hill Depot
Days of work: Monday to Friday (45 hours per week)
Start Time: 04.00am
Hourly Rate: £16.87 (Occasional Saturday overtime)

Working as part of a single person crew, you will drive various modes of LGV vehicles including front and back loaders, collecting and emptying bins, from our trade waste customers.
