Job summary

Biffa in the United Kingdom is seeking an LGV Driver for the AM shift. You will operate LGV vehicles including front and back loaders, collecting and emptying bins for trade waste customers, on a 45-hour week from Monday to Friday.

The role starts at 04:00 with pay of £19.46 per hour and overtime available. It is outdoor work requiring initiative, good customer service and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Required LGV/HGV Class 2 license and Driver CPC / DQC.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Good understanding of road safety and vehicle safety.
• Ability to complete daily vehicle checks and report defects.

Responsibilities

• Drive LGV vehicles including front and back loaders for bin collection.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Work outdoors with initiative to serve trade waste customers.
• Comply with drivers' hours, tachograph rules and health & safety procedures.

LGV Driver AM Shift

Days of work: Monday to Friday (45 hours per week)
Start Time: 04.00 AM
£19.46p/h (Overtime is available)
Working as part of a single person crew, you will drive various modes of LGV vehicles including front and back loaders, collecting and emptying bins, from our trade waste customers.

Requirements

• Valid LGV/HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving licence
• Valid Driver CPC / Driver Qualification Card
• Good understanding of road safety and vehicle safety
• Ability to complete daily vehicle checks and report defects
• Good knowledge of drivers' hours and tachograph requirements
• Ability to safely manoeuvre and operate a large rigid vehicle
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Good awareness of health & safety procedures
