Zusammenfassung

Howden is seeking qualified actuaries (or near qualifying) with LGPS expertise to advance their consulting career toward Fund Actuary. You will build a personal LGPS portfolio while potentially taking on Team Leader responsibilities, supporting delivery and governance activities.

You will join a growing team with strong demand for LGPS actuarial work, involved in funding strategy, employer risk, asset pooling, governance, and statutory reporting across a broad client base.

Qualifikationen

• Fellowship FIA/FAA or equivalent required or near qualifying.
• DB Pension experience essential for this LGPS-focused advisory role.
• Demonstrated leadership and people management capability.
• Strong IT skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and networking abilities.
• Ability to develop and implement new ideas across clients.

Aufgaben

• Client consulting for LGPS funds and employers as a key contact.
• Support Partners in managing client relationships and issues.
• Attend client meetings and identify opportunities to support clients.
• Review draft client reports for clarity and consistency.
• Apply actuarial techniques to assess risk and pensions uncertainty.
• Peer review colleagues’ work for accuracy and LGPS compliance.
• Assist with new business opportunities, tenders and pitches.
• Coordinate workload and maintain delivery standards.
• Share pension developments and insights with clients.
• Deliver high-quality client work within agreed timescales.
