Job summary

Howden seeks a qualified actuary with LGPS experience to lead a portfolio of LGPS clients and act as a Team Leader, overseeing delivery, governance activity and working closely with Partners to set priorities and drive client strategy.

You will join a growing team with demand for LGPS actuarial and governance work, including regulatory-driven projects, with exposure to funding strategy, employer risk, governance support and statutory reporting.

Qualifications

• Qualified actuary with FIA/FAA or equivalent.
• LGPS and pension governance experience preferred.
• Strong leadership and client relationship management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead client consulting for LGPS funds and employers.
• Manage and develop a client team, ensuring timely, high-quality deliverables.
• Support Partners in client governance, fees, and service quality.
• Engage in client meetings and opportunities to introduce Howden services.
• Lead internal working groups on LGPS topics and governance.
