Role Overview

The successful candidate will work under the guidance of the Additional Learning Needs Coordinator, planning and implementing work programs for individuals and groups within the school's specialist provision and mainstream classes. Responsibilities include supporting teachers in planning, resource management, and preparation.

Position Details

This is a full-time position starting in September for the entire academic year.

Qualifications

• Strong literacy and numeracy skills
• NVQ 3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent
• Training in learning strategies for pupils with speech, language, and communication difficulties or willingness to undertake such training
• Specialist skills in curriculum or learning areas (e.g., bi-lingual, sign language, ICT, speech and language)
• First aid certification

Experience

• Extensive experience supporting pupils with speech, language, and communication difficulties in STF or specialist settings
• Experience supporting pupils with ALN in mainstream settings
• Experience planning and delivering small group learning in primary settings
• Experience collaborating with senior leaders to support pupils with additional learning needs
