Job description

Connex Education is partnering with a SEND school in Cardiff to recruit an experienced Learning Support Assistant. While prior experience in special needs is not required, a solid understanding of the needs of learners with ALN (Additional Learning Needs) and/or Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges would be beneficial. Candidates with a background in mainstream education or experience as care or support workers will be well-suited for this role.

Our partner school is part of the Western Learning Federation. The school caters for pupils from 4 to 11-year-olds with a wide range of learning difficulties. Role Responsibilities

As a Learning Support Assistant in a SEND school, we are seeking individuals who are adaptable and capable of working across all Key Stages. You should be enthusiastic about contributing to a variety of curriculum activities and ideas. The ideal candidate will support pupils in engaging with and enjoying enriching experiences, while also understanding the importance of offering both strong support and suitable challenges. The school supports pupils with a variety of additional learning needs, including ADHD, ASD, PMLD, and SEMH.
