Job summary

Royal Mail Group is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician in LeicesterWorkshop to join a large, modern fleet workshop. The role requires a Level 3 qualification and a toolkit for standard repairs, with opportunities to work on a diverse mix of LCVs and HGVs.

You’ll participate in a rotating 39.5-hour shift pattern, including occasional Saturdays, and benefit from a clear development plan, PPE, and company perks while contributing to UK-wide mail logistics.

Qualifications

• Qualified mechanic to Level 3 in Light or Heavy vehicle or equivalent.
• Own toolkit for standard repairs.
• Valid UK manual driving licence; HGV with trailer experience preferred.
• Flexible to work on a rotating shift rota and support the team.
• Experience on a wide range of vehicles, including LCVs and HGVs.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, diagnostics, maintenance and repairs on a range of vehicles, trailers and mechanical equipment.
• Utilise your toolkit for routine maintenance and repairs in the workshop.
• Use specialist tooling and shared equipment in a modern, fully equipped Royal Mail workshop.
