Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking Level 3 Teaching Assistants to work in primary schools across Wythenshawe. You will provide general classroom support, help with interventions and cover classes when needed.

The role is temporary with flexible supply, hours 8:30am to 3:30pm, start ASAP. Applicants must have the Right to Work in the UK, an enhanced DBS, two references and an updated CV; training is provided where required. There may be longer-term opportunities available for reliable candidates.

Qualifications

Prospero Teaching is looking for Primary Teaching Assistants to work in primary schools across Wythenshawe.

Acting as a work-finding service, we provide supply cover to a range of primary schools in South Manchester. We are currently looking for Level 3 Teaching Assistants to lead interventions and provide adhoc class cover when required. There may also be some long-term opportunities available.

Prospero Teaching work with both experienced Teaching Assistants and those first embarking on their career in education by helping you find your next position. Some contracts may be extended from day-to-day bookings to longer term cover.

Level 3 Teaching Assistant - responsibilities

• Provide general classroom support to pupils
• Offer 1:1 support as and when required

Level 3 Teaching Assistant - requirements

• Hold Right to Work in the UK - no sponsorship available
• Hold an Enhanced Child DBS certificate on the update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional references that cover the last two years, including any appropriate child-related work experience
• Appropriate CV history including mention of any employment/studying gaps
• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
• SEN/SEMH Awareness desirable
• Previous experience working in a UK school, ideally up to at least 6 months
• Updated training including safeguarding, prevent and allergy + anaphylaxis training (desirable however not essential as training is provided)
