Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking Primary Teaching Assistants to work in Stockport-area primary schools on a flexible supply basis. Roles cover Early Years to Key Stage 2, with potential for long-term contracts. You will support pupils in class and 1:1, and you may be offered extended bookings. Applicants must have UK right to work, an Enhanced DBS, and provide two references; TA qualifications are a plus. Training is provided.

Qualifications

• Hold Right to Work in the UK - no sponsorship available.
• Hold an Enhanced DBS certificate on the update service or be willing to process a new application.
• Provide two professional references covering the last two years (including child-related work).
• CV history with gaps clearly explained.
• Teaching Assistant qualifications desirable (Level 2 or 3).
• SEN/SEMH awareness desirable.
• Previous UK school experience, ideally at least 6 months.
• Safeguarding/training updates (e.g., safeguarding, prevent, allergy/anaphylaxis) desirable as training is provided.

Primary Teaching Assistant - Stockport

Locations: various locations in Stockport including Reddish, Cheadle and Heaton Mersey
Hours: 8.30am - 3.30pm. Some shorter days may be available occasionally.
Contract: Temporary
Start: ASAP
Pay: £92.63 - £120 per day depending on qualifications and experience

Prospero Teaching is looking for Primary Teaching Assistants to work in primary schools across Stockport.

Acting as a work-finding service, we provide supply cover to a range of primary schools; from small village schools to large secondary schools. We are currently looking for Teaching Assistants to support students in Early Years all the way up to Key Stage 2 on a flexible supply basis. There may also be some long-term opportunities available.

Prospero Teaching work with both experienced Teaching Assistants and those first embarking on their career in education by helping you find your next position. Some contracts may be extended from day-to-day bookings to longer term cover.
