Job summary

Powys County Council invites applications for a Level 3 Teaching Assistant at Welshpool Church in Wales Primary School. This is a 16.5 hours per week fixed-term contract, working Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, to support teaching and learning and assist in ensuring pupil safety and welfare.

The successful candidate will work under teaching staff guidance to support individuals and groups and contribute to a positive school environment.

Qualifications

• Assist and support teaching and learning under guidance of staff.
• Work with individuals and/or small groups to aid pupils.
• Provide for general care, safety and welfare of pupils.

Responsibilities

• Support lesson delivery and classroom activities as directed by teachers.
• Assist with pupil supervision, wellbeing and safeguarding during the day.
