Job summary

Jubilee Academy Mossley seeks a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to work with class teachers to raise the learning and attainment of pupils. This role involves promoting pupils’ independence, self-esteem and social inclusion and giving support to pupils, individually or in groups, so they can access the curriculum and experience a sense of achievement.

The successful candidate will hold GCSE English and Maths (C/4 or higher) and an NVQ Level 3 TA qualification or equivalent.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at grade C/4 (or higher) is required.
• NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent qualification is required.
• First aid training is essential or willingness to undertake it.
• KS2 experience and SEND experience are essential.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with class teachers to raise learning and attainment.
• Promote independence, self-esteem and social inclusion, individually or in groups to access the curriculum.
