Job summary

Lancashire County Council is seeking a Teaching Assistant Level 3 to join Saint Mary’s RC Primary School in Oswaldtwistle. The role covers one lunch duty per week and supports a mixed Year 3/4 class, helping pupils with reading, writing and maths in a Catholic school community.

The successful candidate will demonstrate care, creativity and initiative, uphold safeguarding standards and work with a supportive team to help children reach their learning goals during term time.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification is required.
• Level 2 or equivalent in English and Maths is required.
• Experience of working with KS2 pupils is essential.
• Commitment to safeguarding and continuous professional development.

Responsibilities

• Support learning in a mixed Year 3/4 class and cover one lunch duty per week (12-1pm).
• Create a safe, inclusive and engaging environment for pupils.
• Collaborate with teaching staff to meet individual needs.
