Job summary

Teaching Personnel are working with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Axminster, Devon, seeking a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join from October on a full-time, long-term supply basis. You will support pupils learning, provide 1:1 and small-group help, and collaborate with the class teacher to create an inclusive learning environment.

Ideal candidates are experienced in primary education, passionate about child development, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
• Previous experience working within a primary school.
• Passionate about supporting children's learning and development.
• Patient, caring and approachable.
• Confident working both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
• Reliable, adaptable and enthusiastic.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with their learning across the classroom.
• Provide targeted support where needed (1:1 and small groups).
• Help create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Work closely with the class teacher and wider school team.
• Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development.
• Assist with classroom activities and preparation.
