Summer Lane Primary in Barnsley is seeking an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant Apprentice to join our caring school team. You will gain valuable experience while working towards a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, supported by experienced staff.

You will help pupils access learning, support wellbeing and assist with classroom activities. This apprenticeship offers real responsibility, hands-on training and the chance to develop essential skills in a friendly, inclusive environment.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, caring and committed Teaching Assistant Apprentice to join our dedicated school team. This is an exciting opportunity to gain valuable experience working alongside experienced professionals while completing a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.

About the Role

As a Teaching Assistant Apprentice, you will work under the guidance of teachers and senior staff to support pupils' learning, wellbeing and development. You will help create a positive learning environment, assist in classroom activities and support children both individually and in groups.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting pupils to access learning activities and achieve their potential.
• Promoting positive behaviour, inclusion and independence.
• Assisting teachers with planning, preparation and classroom organisation.
• Supporting the use of ICT and learning resources.
• Building positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents/carers.
