Job summary

Milefield Primary School in Grimethorpe is seeking a caring Teaching Assistant Apprentice to support learning, wellbeing and development, while working under teachers and senior staff to create a positive classroom environment and contribute to pupils' progress.

The post offers training towards a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, requires a Level 2 childcare qualification or relevant experience, good ICT skills, communication and teamwork, and a commitment to safeguarding.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, caring and committed Teaching Assistant Apprentice to join our dedicated school team. This is an exciting opportunity to gain valuable experience working alongside experienced professionals while completing a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.

About the Role

As a Teaching Assistant Apprentice, you will work under the guidance of teachers and senior staff to support pupils' learning, wellbeing and development. You will help create a positive learning environment, assist in classroom activities and support children both individually and in groups.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting pupils to access learning activities and achieve their potential.
• Promoting positive behaviour, inclusion and independence.
• Assisting teachers with planning, preparation and classroom organisation.
• Supporting the use of ICT and learning resources.
• Building positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents/carers.
• Contributing to the safeguarding and welfare of all children.
