Job summary

Inspire ATA is offering a Teaching Assistant Level 3 Apprenticeship in partnership with a host school. The role involves engaging with students, supporting classroom activities, and accompanying pupils on educational visits.

Training is delivered online alongside the role, with the potential for possible full-time employment after successful completion of the apprenticeship. Salary is £12,759.50 per year, with hours Monday–Friday (32.5 hours per week) and a proposed start date of Monday 23

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths (or Level 2 equivalents) desirable.
• Qualification: Level 3 Teaching Assistant (SEND) Apprenticeship Standard.
• All learning is delivered online/remotely alongside the role.

Responsibilities

• Engage with students as you oversee classroom activities, ensuring a productive and inclusive learning environment.
• Accompany pupils on educational visits and extracurricular activities such as swimming and independence skills training programs.
• Work closely with teachers, speech and language therapists, and other staff to deliver tailored educational programs promoting each student's learning journey.
• Provide compassionate support to identified pupils who may require assistance with daily care tasks.
• Learn classroom management and behaviour techniques to create a positive learning atmosphere.
• Plan and deliver engaging learning activities and provide feedback to teachers on student needs.
• Collaborate with staff to enhance classroom activities and ensure cohesive learning experiences for all pupils.
• Help maintain a healthy, safe school environment and assist with policy adherence.

Some of the key responsibilities and accountabilities you’ll undertake:

• Learn effective classroom management and behaviour techniques that will enable you to create a positive and encouraging atmosphere for all students


• Gain experience in planning and delivering engaging learning activities, while providing valuable feedback to teachers about the educational, emotional, and physical needs of students to assist in their assessments


• Collaborate with teachers and support staff to enhance classroom activities and ensure a cohesive learning experience for all pupils


• Help maintain a healthy, safe, and secure environment for students, both inside and outside the classroom, while adhering to school policies and procedures


• Assist with clerical and administrative tasks, such as photocopying and preparing learning resources, to keep the classroom running smoothly

• Functional Skills Level 2 in English and maths will be provided for those without GCSE Grade 4/C (or equivalent) if required
