Job summary

Academics is seeking a level 3 Teaching Assistant for a school in Sittingbourne and the surrounding Swale area with an immediate start.

The role requires a Level 3 TA qualification, the ability to work across KS1 and KS2, and will involve supporting pupils with SEN where possible. A calm, patient approach and good relationship-building skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Holds a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
• Experience supporting KS1/KS2 and pupils with SEN preferred.
• Calm, patient and consistent approach with good relationships with children and staff.
• DBS check current or willing to obtain.
• Full-time, 8:30am–3:30pm; driving licence preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist class teachers with day-to-day activities in primary classes.
• Support pupils with learning and behavioural needs to enable their participation.
• Support across KS1 and KS2 as required across the school day.

LEVEL 3 TEACHING ASSISTANT

We are currently looking for an experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a school in Sittingbourne or the surrounding Swale area, with an immediate start available.

The Role

Position: Level 3 Teaching Assistant

Location: Sittingbourne & surrounding Swale area

Start: ASAP

Hours: Full-time, Monday-Friday

Working hours: 8:30am start - 3:30pm finish

Year Groups: willing to work across all primary year groups (KS1 & KS2)

Requirements/preferences for this role

• Holds a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
• Is confident working across KS1 and KS2
• Has experience supporting children with SEN (preferred)
• Is confident managing and de-escalating challenging behaviour
• Has a calm, patient and consistent approach
• Can build positive relationships with children and staff
• Has a current DBS, or is willing to apply for a new one
• Is reliable, flexible and enthusiastic
• Driving licence and access to a vehicle preferred

Salary will be determined by the successful candidate's qualifications and relevant experience, and will be in accordance with the client's pay policy
