Job summary

Academics is recruiting a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a school in Ashford for a full-time role supporting pupils across KS1 and KS2. You will work with learners with a range of needs and may encounter challenging behaviour, requiring a calm, flexible and safeguarding-conscious approach.

The ideal candidate holds a Level 3 TA qualification and has school experience; a DBS or willingness to apply is required. Driving licence is preferred to enable travel between sites.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
• Previous experience working within a school.
• SEN experience would be an advantage.
• Confidence managing challenging behaviour in a calm and consistent way.
• Good understanding of safeguarding procedures and school policies.
• Ability to follow safeguarding guidance and report concerns appropriately.
• Current DBS, or willingness to apply for a new one.
• Driving licence preferred.
• Positive and flexible approach to supporting pupils across different year groups.
