Job summary

Academics is recruiting a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a school in Sheerness and the surrounding area. This full-time role runs 8:30am–3:30pm with an immediate start, supporting pupils across KS1 and KS2.

The ideal candidate will hold a Level 3 TA qualification, have school experience and ideally SEN experience, be confident managing challenging behaviour, and hold a DBS (or be happy to apply for a new one). Driving licence and access to a vehicle are preferred.

Qualifications

• Hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
• Experience working within a school environment.

• Calm, patient and consistent approach.
• Be able to work across KS1 & KS2.

Responsibilities

We're looking for a confident, reliable and experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a school setting in the Sheerness area.

This role will involve supporting pupils across both KS1 and KS2, so flexibility and the ability to adapt to different year groups is essential.

The ideal candidate will:

• Hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
• Have experience working within a school environment
• Ideally have experience supporting children with SEN
• Be confident managing challenging behaviour
• Have a calm, patient and consistent approach
• Be able to work effectively across KS1 & KS2
• Hold a valid DBS, or be happy to apply for a new one
• Be reliable, committed and enthusiastic
• Have a full driving licence and access to a vehicle (preferred)
