Clarence Recruitment Limited is seeking a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to support a primary school and nursery in Leicester. The role involves working alongside teachers to deliver age-appropriate activities, supporting small groups, and aiding early language, literacy and numeracy development.

You will create a safe, inclusive environment, build positive relationships with children, and communicate progress to the teaching team.

Pay: 95 - 110 a day

The role

• Work alongside teachers and nursery practitioners to support engaging, age-appropriate learning activities.
• Provide individual and small-group support, adapting activities to children's needs.
• Encourage learning through play, exploration and structured classroom activities.
• Support early language, literacy, numeracy and social development.
• Help maintain a safe, welcoming and inclusive learning environment.
• Promote positive behaviour, independence and confidence through consistent routines and encouragement.
• Observe children's progress and share relevant feedback with the teaching team.
• Support daily routines and children's care needs in line with the setting's procedures.

What we're looking for

• A relevant Level 3 qualification in teaching support, childcare or early years appropriate to the role.
• Experience supporting children in a primary school, nursery or early years setting.
• An understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and how to support children's learning and development.
• A patient, nurturing approach and the ability to build positive relationships with children.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and families.
• A commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and supporting children with a range of learning needs.
• A flexible, proactive approach to working across nursery and primary classrooms.
