Job summary

St Catherine's RC School in Greater London is seeking a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our team for 3 days per week (20.25 hours), Tuesday to Thursday. The role begins as soon as possible and runs for a one-year contract initially.

You should hold a Level 3 qualification or equivalent with prior TA experience, and be comfortable covering classes on an ad-hoc basis across EYFS to KS2, including intervention groups. You will work as part of a team and support children with diverse needs.

Qualifications

Job description

We are looking to appoint a Level 3 TeachingAssistant to join the team at St Catherine's for 3 days per week, from 08.30 to15.45 daily (20.25 hours per week) on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. This position is offered as a one yearcontract initially and will commence as soon as possible.

You will need to have aLevel 3 qualification or a similar amount of experience and should have carriedout a Level 3 TA role before and must have previous experience of covering classeson an ad-hoc basis. You must have soundknowledge of how children learn and a number of strategies to encouragelearning. You will need to be sensitiveto the special needs of individual children and be able to work as part of ateam. Previous experience of workingwith special needs children on a one to one basis and running interventiongroups would be useful. You need to be willing to work across all the agephases here at St Catherine's (Nursery to KS2).You will need to be comfortable to cover classes for teacher absenceacross EYFS and Key Stages 1 and 2.Candidates will need to demonstrate initiative and enthusiasm and haveexcellent literacy and numeracy skills.
