Job summary

The Supply Register, in partnership with L.E.A.D. Academy Trust, is recruiting a full-time Level 3 Teaching Assistant for Birley Spa Primary Academy (S12, Sheffield) to start September 2026.

This Year 1 position involves supporting whole-class learning, leading small group interventions, and assisting with planning and delivery. Ideal candidates hold a Level 3 TA qualification or equivalent, with KS1 experience, strong behaviour management, and a proactive, reliable approach.

Qualifications

• A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience
• Experience supporting pupils in KS1
• Confidence working independently with groups and individuals
• Excellent behaviour management skills
• A proactive, reliable and committed approach

Responsibilities

• Supporting whole-class learning in a Year 1 classroom
• Leading small group and 1:1 interventions
• Assisting with planning and classroom delivery
• Supporting pupils with additional learning needs
• Helping maintain high standards of behaviour and engagement
