Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Level 3 Teaching Assistant for a secondary school in Huyton, starting September 2026. You will work across year groups providing high-quality classroom support, assisting teachers, and delivering targeted interventions to help students engage in learning.

You will collaborate with SEN staff to support academic, emotional, and behavioural development, uphold inclusive practice, and monitor progress.

Qualifications

• Level 3 TA qualification is essential.
• Experience with children or young people in a school setting.
• Enhanced DBS or willingness to apply for one.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-class support to individuals and small groups.
• Assist teachers with lesson preparation, resources, and classroom management.
• Deliver planned interventions in literacy, numeracy, or SEND-focused areas.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
• Monitor, record, and report on student progress and behaviour, using Level 3 training and expertise.
