Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment LTD. in Knowsley is seeking a dedicated Level 3 Teaching Assistant to support learners across year groups in a secondary school in Huyton. The role is full-time, term-time only, starting 02/11/2026, with a focus on literacy, numeracy and SEND interventions.

You will work with teachers and SEN staff to provide targeted academic, emotional and behavioural support, monitor progress, and foster an inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Level 3 TA qualification required.
• Experience in a school setting with children or young people.
• Proactive, patient and adaptable approach.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-class support to individuals and small groups.
• Assist teachers with lesson preparation, resources, and classroom management.
• Deliver planned interventions in literacy, numeracy, or SEND-focused areas.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
• Monitor, record, and report on student progress and behaviour.
• Utilise Level 3 training and expertise to support learning both independently and alongside teaching staff.
