Job summary

Aaalberts ST in Letchworth Garden City, Hertfordshire, is offering a Level 3 Process Industries Manufacturing Technician apprenticeship. You’ll gain hands-on experience in heat‑treatment operations, operate and monitor large‑scale processes, and develop practical engineering and problem‑solving skills alongside experienced teams.

The 22‑month programme blends online learning with in‑person training and on‑the‑job support, including a dedicated workplace mentor.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day heat-treatment and manufacturing processes
• Work with production equipment and learn how it is operated safely and effectively
• Collect and analyse process data to understand how processes are performing
• Help investigate technical issues and identify potential solutions
• Assist with equipment reliability, maintenance activities and technical problem-solving
• Learn how specialist instruments and software are used to monitor manufacturing processes
• Work closely with production, quality and engineering colleagues
• Accurately record technical information and follow quality and safety procedures
• Get involved in continuous improvement projects across the site
