Job summary

Tiny Toez in Stoke-on-Trent is seeking a dedicated Early Years practitioner to provide high-quality care and education in line with EYFS. You will plan activities, observe progress and maintain a safe, loving environment for young children.

Essential is a Level 3 Early Years qualification with EYFS knowledge and nursery experience. The role offers a supportive team, ongoing CPD, and opportunities for career progression within a welcoming setting.

Qualifications

• Level 3 childcare qualification - essential.
• Sound knowledge of the EYFS framework.
• Experience in a nursery/early years setting - essential.
• Safeguarding Level 1 and 2, Paediatric First Aid and Level 2 Food Safety desirable (training provided).

Responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality care and education in line with EYFS.
• Plan and support age‑appropriate activities to promote learning.
• Create a safe, inclusive environment for all children.
• Observe, assess and record children's progress.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.

Job description

Hours 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 7.30am and 6pm, all year round

Location Bentilee, Stoke-on-Trent, ST2 0HW

Qualification Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (essential)

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality care and education in line with the EYFS
• Plan and support age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development
• Create a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment for all children
• Observe, assess and record children's progress
• Build positive relationships with children, parents/carers and colleagues
• Ensure safeguarding, health and safety policies are followed at all times

Qualifications & Experience

• Relevant Level 3 childcare qualification in Early Years or equivalent - essential
• Sound knowledge of the EYFS framework
• Experience working in a nursery or early years setting - essential
• Safeguarding Level 1 and 2, Paediatric First Aid and Level 2 Food Safety - desirable (core training is provided)
