Job summary

The Old Station Nursery Group in Warwickshire is seeking a Level 2 or Level 3 Qualified Early Years Practitioner to join our Wellesbourne team at Warwick University HRI. You will create a warm, safe learning space and deliver play-based activities aligned with the EYFS framework.

This rural location requires own transport; DBS checks and right to work in the UK will be required, with ongoing training opportunities through The National College.

Qualifications

  • Must hold a Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Own transport and a full UK driving licence are essential due to the rural location of the nursery.

Responsibilities

  • Create a warm, fun, and nurturing environment for children to feel safe and thrive.
  • Plan and deliver engaging, play-based activities aligned with the EYFS framework.
  • Build meaningful relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Monitor and celebrate development milestones, maintaining records for parents.
  • Support the day-to-day running of the nursery, upholding high hygiene, safety, and care standards.
  • Be a team player, guiding apprentices and volunteers while learning from others.

Pay:from £27,393 - £29,348per annum based onexperience (40 hours per week)

Working Hours:4 days a week Monday to Friday - 38 hours (8am-6pm)or 40 hours (7.30am--6.00pm)

About our Nursery

Our beautiful nursery in Wellesbourne offers a premium nursery experience with 3 additional enhancements. Forest School, Organic lifestyle and Cookery. Our Wellesbourne nursery children love their days with us and set out on the next stage of their education equipped with the life-long skills gained from being in a Forest School and organic growing environment, as well as confidence around cookery and handling ingredients. Each room has its own dedicated outdoor space that the children have access to all day, every day. Located on the Wellesbourne campus of Warwick University HRI, on Charlecote Road, just off the A429. There is ample parking on-site, with a car park on campus.

What Your Role Involves
