Job summary

The Old Station Nursery in Peckham is seeking a Qualified Nursery Practitioner to join our friendly team. If you hold Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualifications (or QTS), you will contribute to delivering high-quality care and education for children aged in our Sunhill Day Nursery Peckham.

You will plan play-based activities, support families, and ensure safe, hygienic daily operations while collaborating with apprentices and volunteers in a welcoming setting.

Qualifications

• Must hold Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification or QTS.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm, fun, and nurturing environment where children feel safe and thrive.
• Plan and deliver engaging, play-based activities aligned with the EYFS framework.
• Build meaningful relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
• Monitor and celebrate children's development milestones, keeping records to share with parents.
• Support the day-to-day running of the nursery, maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety, and care.
• Be a team player, offering guidance to apprentices and volunteers while learning from others

Pay: up to £31,075 per Annum. based on experience (40 hours per week).

Working Hours: Full-time 40 hours over 5 days - Monday to Friday

Our Peckham Nursery is on Sternhall Lane, directly off Peckham High Street only 5 minutes from the train station, it is easily accessible by foot, rail, or car. We are fortunate to have a large nursery for our children with plenty of space to explore inside, and we regularly go to a nearby park to explore the woodland and let off steam. At The Old Station Nursery Peckham, we are a fun and happy team here at our nursery in Peckham, with many long-serving staff members and strong connections with our families and the local community.
