Job summary

Smile Education Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Level 3 qualified teaching assistant to support a KS1 class in the Cannock, Hednesford area. The role involves helping children who need extra support to complete tasks and aiding teachers with planning and records.

You will get involved in classroom preparation, behaviour management, supervising group activities, leading reading groups, and delivering Phonics schemes. References confirming experience with children are required.

Qualifications

• Evidence of working with children through adequate references.
• Experience with Primary curriculum.
• Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning within schools.

Responsibilities

• getting the classroom ready for lessons
• helping children who need extra support to complete tasks
• helping teachers to plan learning activities and complete records
• supporting teachers in managing class behaviour

• clearing away materials and equipment after lessons
