Job summary

Hays Education is seeking a Level 3 Teaching Assistant for a Dudley primary school starting October 2026. You will support KS1 pupils with targeted reading and phonics interventions, working with teachers and the support team to help children progress and access the curriculum.

The role requires experience in a primary setting, excellent communication, and a nurturing, proactive approach to pupil development, within a welcoming school environment.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering reading and phonics interventions within KS1.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
• A proactive, patient and nurturing approach.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils across KS1 with targeted reading and phonics interventions.
• Work alongside class teachers to provide focused support to small groups and individual pupils.
• Help accelerate progress and ensure learners can access the curriculum effectively.
