Job summary

Hays Education is seeking a Level 3 Teaching Assistant for a Dudley primary school starting October 2026. You will support KS1 pupils with targeted reading and phonics interventions, working with teachers and the support team to help children progress and access the curriculum.

The role requires experience in a primary setting, excellent communication, and a nurturing, proactive approach to pupil development, within a welcoming school environment.

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a dedicated Key Stage 1 team from October 2026. In this role, you will support pupils across KS1, delivering targeted reading and phonics interventions to help children develop their literacy skills and confidence. Working alongside class teachers and the wider support team, you will provide focused support to small groups and individual pupils, helping to accelerate progress and ensure all learners can access the curriculum effectively.This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant who is passionate about early learning and making a positive impact on children's educational journeys.

What you'll need to succeed

• Previous experience working within a primary school setting
• Experience delivering reading and phonics interventions within KS1
• Good understanding of the Early Years and Key Stage 1 curriculum
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents
• A proactive, patient and nurturing approach
