Job summary

Telford & Wrekin Council is seeking an experienced Early Years Practitioner to join our nursery team from January 2027. You will plan play-based experiences, build secure relationships with children, and support their wellbeing within the EYFS framework.

Applicants should hold a Level 3 EYFS qualification, have experience with young children in early years settings, and demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills to work with families and colleagues while safeguarding and promoting

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide engaging, play-based experiences aligned with EYFS.
• Build secure relationships to support wellbeing and independence.
• Use observations to inform planning and next steps for development.
• Support communication and language through responsive interactions, stories, songs, and play.
• Adapt activities to include all children, including those with SEND and EAL.
• Collaborate with parents/carers and colleagues to share progress.
