Job summary

Teaching Personnel in Wokingham is seeking a Level 3 Early Years Practitioner for a full-time role, with hours 8am–6pm and a salary competitive based on experience. You will create a safe, stimulating, inclusive environment for children, support learning through play, build relationships with families, and ensure safeguarding and record keeping, in line with EYFS. Ideal candidates hold a Level 3 EYQ, understand EYFS, have nursery experience, strong communication and Paediatric First Aid.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Early Years qualification is essential.
• Good understanding of the EYFS framework.
• Previous nursery or childcare experience is essential.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Paediatric First Aid qualification.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment for children, adhering to room ratios and policies.
• Support children's learning and development through play-based activities.
• Build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Observe, assess, and record children's progress, ensuring detailed, quality record keeping.
• Ensure safeguarding and welfare standards are always maintained, completing risk assessments, hazard logs and documentation as required.
• Oversee the settling in of new children, liaising closely with caregivers and fellow staff members to ensure a smooth transition.
