Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust as a Level 3 Business Administrator Apprentice.

We have apprenticeship opportunities available across different teams within the Trust, offering valuable experience in a busy NHS environment whilst working towards completing the Level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship.

You will work alongside experienced colleagues, providing administrative support and contributing to the effective day-to-day running of your team. Depending on your placement, duties may include meeting administration, data analysis & management, maintaining records, preparing information and reports, responding to enquiries from colleagues and a range of stakeholders across the Trust by face‑to‑face, email and over the telephone and supporting a range of departmental activities. This is an excellent opportunity for organised, motivated individuals who are keen to develop their administration, communication and organisational skills while gaining valuable experience within a healthcare setting.

To use a range of multiple IT packages and digital systems relevant to the department in order to write emails, record and analyse data. For example, Office 365 and Datix (incident and risk management system).

Produce and maintain accurate records and documents including tracker spreadsheets, emails, shared files, reports, minutes from meetings and confidential information in line with the Trust policies and procedures. Make recommendations for improvements and present solutions to the team where needed.

To use a range of good communication skills, whether face‑to‑face, on the telephone, in writing or on digital platforms to meet stakeholders' needs. Answer questions from inside and outside of the Trust to demonstrate Trust values.

Organise meetings, events, training, room bookings, taking minutes, and the movement of any equipment required. This will include meeting and greeting, facilitating meetings, or training, and other events as required.

Supporting the team's SharePoint and document management systems.
