Mercedes AMG High Performance Powertrains in the United Kingdom is seeking an Assistant Accountant (Level 3) to support month-end close, banking, fixed assets and receivables. You will work in a fast-paced finance team, learning UK GAAP and FIA regulations while contributing to reports and audits.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English at grade 5 or above.

Responsibilities

• Month end close including Balance Sheet reconciliations, journal postings and consolidation.
• Assist in daily banking and cashflow reporting.
• Maintain fixed assets including capitalisation and disposals.
• Process Accounts Receivable: raising sales orders and chasing overdue debt.
• Assist in inventory adjustments and annual stock counts.
• Prepare monthly KPI reports and dashboards for the finance team.
• Support external audit data preparation and ad hoc analysis.
• Collaborate with colleagues and build positive working relationships.

Job description

Our Finance Team is much more than a support function. As a key business partner, the department works collaboratively across HPP to help teams make informed strategic decisions that drive performance on and off the track. Working closely with departments across the organisation, the team balances budgets, forecasts future investment, and ensures resources are used effectively within the sport's cost cap regulations, helping maximise every opportunity to compete at the highest level.,

• Month end close, including Balance Sheet reconciliations, journal postings and consolidating approval pack
• Assistance in processing daily banking and cashflow reporting.
• Fixed asset maintenance including capitalisation, disposals and verification.
• Accounts Receivable processes; raising on sales orders, chasing of overdue debt and analysis
• Assistance in preperation of Inventory adjustment documents and annual stock counts, ensuring correct process is followed.
• Preparation of monthly KPI reports and Dashboards for the wider Finance team.
• Assisting the Company Accountant with preparation of data for External Audit and Ad Hoc analysis.
