Mercedes AMG High Performance Powertrains in Brixworth is seeking an Accounting Apprentice to join our Finance Team. You will support month-end closings, banking and cashflow, fixed asset maintenance, accounts receivable, and stock processes while learning UK GAAP and FIA Financial Regulations.

The role offers a 2-year Level 3 Assistant Accountant qualification with a salary of £21,000 per annum, performance bonuses, private healthcare and a pension scheme.

Qualifications

• Maths GCSE level 5 or above
• English Language GCSE level 5 or above
• Proactive learner with interest in UK GAAP and FIA Financial Regulations
• Curious about how businesses operate and data interpretation
• Able to deliver high quality, accurate work

Responsabilités

• Month end close including balance sheet reconciliations, journal postings and consolidating approval pack
• Assist in processing daily banking and cashflow reporting
• Fixed asset maintenance including capitalisation, disposals and verification
• Accounts Receivable processes; raising on sales orders, chasing of overdue debt and analysis
• Assistance in preparation of Inventory adjustment documents and annual stock counts
• Preparation of monthly KPI reports and dashboards for the wider Finance team
• Assisting the Company Accountant with preparation of data for External Audit and Ad Hoc analysis

Our Finance Team is much more than a support function. As a key business partner, the department works collaboratively across HPP to help teams make informed strategic decisions that drive performance on and off the track. Working closely with departments across the organisation, the team balances budgets, forecasts future investment, and ensures resources are used effectively within the sport's cost cap regulations, helping maximise every opportunity to compete at the highest level.

We are looking for a Level 3 Accounting Apprentice

Purpose of the role is to...

• Month end close, including Balance Sheet reconciliations, journal postings and consolidating approval pack
• Assistance in processing daily banking and cashflow reporting.
• Fixed asset maintenance including capitalisation, disposals and verification.
• Accounts Receivable processes; raising on sales orders, chasing of overdue debt and analysis
• Assistance in preperation of Inventory adjustment documents and annual stock counts, ensuring correct process is followed.
• Preparation of monthly KPI reports and Dashboards for the wider Finance team.
• Assisting the Company Accountant with preparation of data for External Audit and Ad Hoc analysis.
