Job summary

Mercedes AMG High Performance Powertrains is seeking a Level 3 Accounting Apprentice to join the Finance Team in the UK. You will support month-end close, banking and cashflow reporting, fixed asset maintenance, and accounts receivable activities while gaining exposure to UK GAAP and FIA Financial Regulations.

You will contribute to monthly KPI reports and assist with external audit data; build strong cross-functional relationships and drive process improvements in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Maths GCSE level 5 or above.
• English Language GCSE level 5 or above.
• Curious about how businesses operate, with the ability to critically evaluate and interpret different data sources.
• Keen to learn and understand both UK GAAP and FIA Financial Regulations.
• Accountable for delivering high quality, accurate work.

Responsibilities

• Month end close, including Balance Sheet reconciliations, journal postings and consolidating approval pack
• Assistance in processing daily banking and cashflow reporting.
• Fixed asset maintenance including capitalisation, disposals and verification.
• Accounts Receivable processes; raising on sales orders, chasing of overdue debt and analysis
• Assistance in preperation of Inventory adjustment documents and annual stock counts, ensuring correct process is followed.
• Preparation of monthly KPI reports and Dashboards for the wider Finance team.
• Assisting the Company Accountant with preparation of data for External Audit and Ad Hoc analysis.
• Working collaboratively and building positive, constructive business relationships
• Proactively approaching problem resolution and process improvement

Job description

Our Finance Team is much more than a support function. As a key business partner, the department works collaboratively across HPP to help teams make informed strategic decisions that drive performance on and off the track. Working closely with departments across the organisation, the team balances budgets, forecasts future investment, and ensures resources are used effectively within the sport's cost cap regulations, helping maximise every opportunity to compete at the highest level.

We are looking for a Level 3 Accounting Apprentice
