Job summary

Supply Desk is working with a friendly and inclusive school in the Uxbridge area to recruit a Level 2 Teaching Assistant. This role supports pupils in a nurturing setting and contributes to their academic and personal development.

Ideal for someone with a Level 2 qualification and experience with children, including those with SEN such as ASD, ADHD and SEMH. DBS check is required.

Qualifications

• Level 2 TA qualification or equivalent.
• Experience with children in schools, nurseries, or care settings.
• Passion for supporting young learners.
• Patient, positive and adaptable approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• DBS Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils 1:1 and in small groups.
• Assist the teacher with lesson delivery and activities.
• Promote social, emotional and behavioural development.
• Adapt learning materials to individual needs.
• Support IEPs and behaviour strategies.
• Create a positive, safe, inclusive learning environment.
• Encourage confidence, independence and engagement.
• Collaborate with teaching staff and SEN support teams.

Supply Desk is pleased to be working with a friendly and inclusive school in the Uxbridge area to recruit a committed Level 2 Teaching Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils in a nurturing environment and contribute to their academic and personal development.

This role is ideal for individuals with a Level 2 qualification and some experience working with children, either in schools, care, or support settings.

As a Level 2 Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils across the classroom, including those with additional needs such as ASD, ADHD, and SEMH. You will work closely with the class teacher to ensure pupils feel supported, engaged, and able to thrive.

• Support pupils 1:1 and in small groups
• Assist the teacher with lesson delivery and classroom activities
• Promote pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development
• Help adapt learning materials to suit individual needs
• Support the implementation of IEPs and behaviour strategies
• Create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment
• Encourage confidence, independence, and engagement
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff and SEN support teams

• Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
• Experience working with children (school, nursery, or care setting)
• A genuine passion for supporting young learners
• Patient, positive, and adaptable approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

• Experience supporting pupils with SEN (ASD, ADHD, SEMH)
