Job summary

Supply Desk is pleased to partner with a friendly Iver primary/SEN school to recruit a Level 2 Teaching Assistant. This full-time role starts in September and offers a competitive daily rate. You will support pupils across the classroom, including those with additional needs, under the guidance of the class teacher.

Ideal candidates hold a Level 2 TA qualification (or equivalent) and have experience with children in schools, care, or support settings. DBS on Update Service is preferred.

Qualifications

• Level 2 TA qualification or equivalent.
• Experience working with children in schools, care, or support settings.
• Genuine passion for supporting young learners.
• Patient, positive and adaptable approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• DBS on Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils 1:1 and in small groups.
• Assist the teacher with lesson delivery and activities.
• Promote pupils' social, emotional, and behavioural development.
• Help adapt learning materials to individual needs.
• Support implementation of IEPs and behaviour strategies.
• Create a safe, inclusive learning environment.
• Encourage confidence, independence, and engagement.
• Collaborate with teaching staff and SEN support teams.

Supply Desk is pleased to be working with a friendly and inclusive school in the Iver area to recruit a committed Level 2 Teaching Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils in a nurturing environment and contribute to their academic and personal development.

This role is ideal for individuals with a Level 2 qualification and some experience working with children, either in schools, care, or support settings.

The Role

As a Level 2 Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils across the classroom, including those with additional needs such as ASD, ADHD, and SEMH. You will work closely with the class teacher to ensure pupils feel supported, engaged, and able to thrive.

Key Responsibilities

• Support pupils 1:1 and in small groups
• Assist the teacher with lesson delivery and classroom activities
• Promote pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development
• Help adapt learning materials to suit individual needs

Requirements

Desirable

• Experience supporting pupils with SEN (ASD, ADHD, SEMH)
• Previous school-based experience
• Basic knowledge of safeguarding and behaviour management
