Job summary

Neath Port Talbot Council is seeking a Level 2 Teaching Assistant at Rhos Primary School. The role is 30 hours per week during 39 weeks of the year, commencing ASAP subject to checks. The post is temporary until 31 August 2027 and requires NVQ Level 2 in Early Years childcare or equivalent.

The successful candidate will support pupils with play-based learning, observe and record progress, and contribute to a team focused on safeguarding and pupil welfare.

The Governing Body of Rhos Primary School are looking to appoint an excellent and highly committed Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our skilled team of staff.

The successful applicant must be qualified NVQ Level 2 - Early Years Childcare and Education, or equivalent. The post is for 30 hours, 39 weeks a year (term time only). The job will commence once all relevant checks are complete.

This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding individual to work with pupils. It would be an advantage to have had experience of working with children in the primary sector including those with additional learning needs.
