Cyngor Sir Ceredigion County Council is seeking a Level 2 Teaching Assistant for Ysgol Gynradd Rhos Helyg (Llangeitho site). The role begins 04/01/2027 on a permanent basis, supporting learning and development across the primary class.

You will work with teachers to deliver engaging lessons, support pupils including those with additional needs, and promote inclusion. Fluency in Welsh and English, NVQ 3 or equivalent, and ICT skills are essential.

Qualifications

Are you passionate about supporting children’s learning and development? Ysgol Gynradd Rhos Helyg (Llangeitho site) is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join the team from 04/01/2027 on a permanent basis. This is a great opportunity to make a real difference in the classroom and beyond.

As a Level 2 Teaching Assistant, you will:
  • Provide support to pupils, including those with additional needs, helping them access learning and build confidence.
  • Work with teachers to deliver engaging lessons and activities.
  • Support the development of Individual Education and Behaviour Plans.
  • Promote inclusion, independence, and positive behaviour.
  • Assist with classroom organisation, preparation of resources, and wider school activities.
We are looking for someone who:
  • Is fluent in both Welsh and English
  • Has experience of working with or caring for children.
  • Holds relevant qualifications (NVQ 3 or equivalent) and good literacy/numeracy skills.
  • Can use ICT effectively to support learning.
  • Is positive, flexible, and able to build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and families.
  • Understands the importance of safeguarding, inclusion, and teamwork.
