Job summary

Aspire People are recruiting Level 2 SEND Teaching Assistants to support pupils with SEND across primary school settings. This full-time role requires a recognised Level 2 TA or SEND qualification and prior UK school experience.

You will provide 1:1 and small-group SEND support, helping pupils access learning, with differentiated activities and interventions, while supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour.

Qualifications

• Must hold a recognised Level 2 Teaching Assistant or SEND qualification.
• Must have recent UK school-based experience.
• Experience supporting SEND pupils is essential.
• Strong safeguarding and inclusive practice understanding.
• Confident with 1:1 and small-group delivery.
• Patient, calm and nurturing approach; reliable and professional.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group SEND support within primary settings.
• Assist pupils to access classroom learning and differentiated activities.
• Support communication, learning and behavioural needs.
• Encourage independence and confidence while promoting regulation.
• Collaborate with class teachers and SENCOs; monitor progress and feedback.

Aspire People are recruiting Level 2 Teaching Assistants to support pupils with SEND across primary school settings.

• MUST hold a recognised Level 2 Teaching Assistant, Supporting Teaching and Learning or relevant SEND qualification


• MUST have previous UK school-based experience


• Experience supporting pupils with SEND is essential


• Strong understanding of safeguarding and inclusion


• Confident working with children on a 1:1 and small-group basis

The Role:

• Providing 1:1 and small-group SEND support


• Supporting pupils to access classroom learning


• Assisting with differentiated activities and interventions


• Supporting pupils with communication, learning and behavioural needs


• Encouraging independence and confidence


• Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour


• Working alongside class teachers and SENCOs


• Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback

The Ideal Candidate:

• Level 2 qualified


• Recent UK school experience


• Previous SEND experience within a primary setting


• Good behaviour management and communication skills


• Able to build strong relationships with pupils
