Job summary

The District CE Primary School is seeking a part-time Learning Assistant (Level 2) and Midday Supervisor to support teachers and pupils. The role combines Learning Assistant duties with a dedicated two and a half hours per week as a Midday Supervisor, within term-time plus one week, under a fixed-term contract funded for the duration of the post.

Responsibilities include assisting with curriculum delivery, supporting learners in English and maths, lunchtime supervision, promoting pupil

• Working Pattern: Part-Time, Term Time + 1 Week

Working Hours

This position covers two key areas of school life:

• Learning Assistant Level 2: 28.75 hours per week. Includes a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.

• Midday Supervisor: 2.5 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

As a multi-faceted member of our staff, you will:

• Support Learning: Work alongside teachers to deliver engaging curriculum content and support individual or small groups of children with targeted interventions.

• Lunchtime Care: Provide supervision during playtimes and lunchtimes to maintain a safe, happy environment.

• Promote Wellbeing: Build strong, positive relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and providing pastoral care.

• School Standards: Consistently implement the school’s behaviour and safeguarding policies while promoting an inclusive environment.
