Job summary

LMA Recruitment Limited is seeking a Level 2 IT Support Engineer in Brighton to provide comprehensive IT and network support for client environments. The role emphasizes proactive monitoring, incident resolution, and effective communication with customers to maintain operational IT services.

You will work under the 2nd Line Team Leader, handling escalations, performing root-cause analysis, and contributing to knowledge bases to improve service reliability in a fast-paced MSP setting.

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Intune and Defender.
• Windows and macOS (Linux/Unix a plus) familiarity.
• Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN and connectivity troubleshooting.
• ITSM tooling experience, preferably Halo ITSM.
• Basic scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, Bash).
• Active Directory administration: users, groups, permissions.

Responsibilities

• Incident management: handle and resolve incidents within SLAs.
• Problem management: analyze trends for root-cause resolution.
• Technical support for complex enterprise issues across systems and apps.
• Change management: implement changes with minimal disruption.
• Knowledge management: document solutions and workarounds.
• Process service requests requiring higher technical expertise.
• Communicate status clearly with customers.
